The last place I worked at, one of the other Toolmaker's wife worked there as well in molding. She came in one day, supposedly stinking of alcohol. So they sent her to get a breathalyzer done. I don't know what she blew, but they fired her that day.
She tried to file a wrongful termination lawsuit. She claimed that she went home and used listerine and that's what caused it...
Then the husband was laid off in a cutdown... and he tried to file a wrongful termination lawsuit, claiming age discrimination. It cost me my promotion for a year. Fucking dick head.
the mouth wash thing is BS. from everything i've been told it will only stay on your breath enough to blow a test for 15 minutes. i'm sure it took her more than 15 minutes to go get it done. also its part of the reason cops do shit like a sobriety test first instead of just whipping that thing out. to make sure it couldn't be something like that.
Oh, no one believed her. She never even got to file a lawsuit. My follow up to that would be, if you didn't have alcohol on your breath, then why did you feel a need to use the listerine? What did you have to hide?
