I don't think she needs any help, because she's already an auto-fill option on the nomination form. Another character I have in mind also shows up on the auto-fill option even though he's never made a contest before. He has been eligible though, so he probably needs that extra push; Ellie being first-time eligible probably makes the auto-fill more relevant.
