It wont work at all tbh. People see it for what it is, trying to pander to the more mainstream crowd without actually making any changes to the system. What they should do is just stop giving a fuck about ratings, make it an online Streaming thing, and the people who actually give a shit will watch it. Or if they legitimately care about branching out to a larger audience, make more of an effort to appreciate the film-making skill that still goes into these blockbuster action films so they'll at least get a nom. Don't throw in a useless category that waters down the BP category, while simultaneously being incredibly condescending to any films that get nom'd for the "popular" category but not BP. --- "She was like, 'Oh, did you see that firefighter?
