In my experience, using a card is vastly faster than counting change. It's the change counters who hold up the line. With your card, you just scan and go.

Change/coins are another reason why I hate using cash. I absolute hate carrying coins around. The few times that I do use cash, I usually just tell them to keep the coins because I don't want them. If my bill is $5.01, then I don't want 99 cents back in change. Just keep that shit.


If they can't count change then it's a cashier problem. You don't scan a card, it has to read the chip, send to server, process securely, then you need to sign for it. Saying it's faster is ultimate crap. The mag stripe was quicker though.

Seriously, there isn't a good reason to carry some cash.
