It's also why they tend to do things like only watch the most popular of shows, like Lucky Star or Dragon Ball Super, instead of experimenting and taking a shot on something that wasn't approved to them by Mother's Basement. Although their ability to break free from that is hindered by the limitation that they've placed on themselves by being so adamant about watching only what's dubbed. Fucking casuals. "but-but she is actually 1,000 years old! She has a child-like body, but I'm actually attracted to her personality!!!" Also, I had no idea about Lucky Star, I watched it when I was 11/12 because it was recommended after I watched caramelldansen, and I got curious. It could have been the least popular show for all I am concerned. Lastly, I didn't insult the Sub of Sola at all, it was actually quite fine to watch, had no issues. I do appreciate I am getting as close to an authentic version of the original as possible, but sometimes it's nice to hear Manly Goku instead of Grandma Goku "he's got the mind of a child, so he has to sound like one, hurr durr, even though that isn't really how voices work" Fucking anime gatekeepers.
