Some people hate fighting vs. Cloud or Bayo, but you go in knowing how towering they can be mid-game. Mario is deceptively fast and catches you off guard and often gets a lot of mileage, and can break out or punish you if you try to do the same. How to apply counterplay? I don't know, I suck vs. Mario lmao. Take some solace insofar that everybody usually has a character they hate fighting and Mario is a commonly brought up example. I'd suggest looking up Mario guides to maybe learn or understand counterplay but Ultimate is so close that there's really not too much of a point outside of prepping yourself for matchup study for Ultimate --- Enjoy movies and television?
