I don't think we are quite there yet. I don't think it's unreasonable at all. There was a shooting nearly every day last year. Not all of them make the news. A good number of them are random, or atleast have victims besides the intended target. Do you think people at a mall expected to get shot, or a movie theater, or a school? Likewise, should you expect shooting to happen at those places? Obviously not.
