I love Picard's line about not being qualified to judge this being who wiped out a race of 50 billion people.


I thought this was weird too. If I was the nigh-omnipotent being, I would have just made every combatant suffer from the memories and feelings I experienced. Hell, put it into their DNA so they passed down the hellish feelings forever.


I always enjoyed that episode too, especially the tease about this war-like alien race that was likely stronger than the Federation.

There was actually a novel released last year that followed up on this, where the Titan finds the remains of the Husneck homeworld long after Kevin had wiped out the entire species:

I used to be big into the novels, but I kind of lost interest a few years back when they had that big event where the Borg invaded. It wasn't terrible, but I didn't like they way they ended it, and the whole thing seemed like they were trying to copy the Yuuzhan Vong invasion from the Star Wars EU.
