Love this game. Super Metroid perfected it, but this was a very good game when first released and still holds up well.

nah it's pure crap.

if you die you respawn with just one energy tank filled and have to grind energy pellets to fill back up.

This is functionally like, if in Dark Souls, if you died, you respawn at the campfire with 1hp, no charges in your flask until you kill the next boss.

Except Metroid doesn't even have iframes.
