You misunderstand me. I think less energy should be focused on these has beens and more on the people who actually were picked.
Take Ellison for example. His misdeeds actively reflect on the Democratic Party as he won the primary. This bitch? Not so much.
If their misdeeds were actually allowed to be called out in the first place, it wouldn't be an issue at all - Ellison's blatant anti-Semitism has been defended and handwaved away for YEARS by Dems, just as this person's racism is now, because Dems don't actually want to deal with these problems.
They just want to use the other side's infractions as ammo.
