Oh god, so mildly popular anime youtuber digibro has also made a video in support of Mayoiga, one of the worst animes I've ever watched in my life, on top of Mother's Basement making a few vids about it saying it was good. Honestly, I always hear about why this thing is supposed to be a parody, and for all of the points, my response has been a big fat "oh." Like who gives a shit if nobody dies in the whole thing? It's funny in Hot Fuzz where literally nobody dies in a big ass shootout because the entire sequence is greatly exaggerated and a billion shots are fired. That sequence absolutely succeeded in being a parody of the works in similar genre because the point was clear in the main character being a terrific cop, and the scene was so violent and explosive that nobody dying was an unbelievable conclusion.

Is it so unbelievable in Mayoiga that nobody dies? No... there were barely any threats of death to begin with lol... Somebody trips and looks like a dead body, so they think there's a killer of sorts for the rest of the anime. But this ends up coming across as trying to make a Friday the 13th movie without Jason where the first scene has a person lying on the ground. Was it worth spending an entire anime to make that one joke? No, it wasn't even all that funny to begin with.

Honestly, the more I hear about why 2-3 people in the world thinks Mayoiga is the funniest anime ever made, the more I hate it. I think it's one of the worst animes ever made
