The only thing that makes you a Christian is believing in Jesus -- and not just saying you believe in him (mouthing the words is easy), but proving it by actually living your life and treating others the way he told you to. Saying you believe in/follow Jesus is enough to be a Christian. Doesn't necessarily mean you're a good Christian but you're still a Christian.
