Esuriat 08/06/18 9:01:18 AM #48: | When I lost weight years ago, I pretty much approached it from the strict perspective of CICO. From there it became quickly evident that as I restricted myself to 1600-1800 calories, certain foods felt like they wasted my allotment and left me hungry faster, so I shifted away from allowing the carbohydrates and sugars I ate to be empty any longer except on rare occasons. And of course my intake of protein and fat increased, but I never really got near Atkins territory. I also broke away from my usual portion sizes, literally cutting everything in half first to see if I was still hungry afterward and saving it for later if I wasn't. I think this may have been the most important step that I took because I broke the habitual eating and made it all deliberate. --- Essy ... Copied to Clipboard! |
