Healthy way to lose weight is to strength train in addition to some cardio and core exercise, lower your carbs/saturated fats/sugars, watch your calories, and eat healthier. Portion control always helps for lowering calories. But also look at the nutrition labels when you can. When you see how unhealthy some of the stuff you eat is, how large the sugar and saturated fat content is, you will probably want to eat much less of it.
