He didn't axe it because it was a bad idea, in fact i've heard nothing but positive feedback about it and have a few friends who were actively involved in the process of getting people signed up. What he did was garbage and it's having a majorly negative impact on recipients. People are having to find new places to live and cancel college applications because they won't be able to afford it now. He's just doing things spitefully because his only political inspiration is that even bigger idiot down south. They promised to keep this program and said they wouldn't cut (but still tax breaks and lowering the deficit and all that). Of course they also didn't say where all this magical money was coming from so of course there'd be cuts. They lied.
