Topic | Find the American Pit Bull Terrier |
Taharqa_ 08/02/18 8:10:48 PM #48: | REMercsChamp posted... Pit bull is the common name for a type of dog descended from bulldogs and terriers. Formal breeds often considered to be of the pit bull type include the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Bully, and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.[1][2] The American Bulldog is also sometimes included. Mixed-breed dogs which physically resemble these breeds often get labelled as "pit bulls" by shelters. The only thing that is matters when considering what is an American Pit Bull Terrier is the papers, if the lineage does not come from a historic fighting line dog then it is not a Pit Bull. I don't care what the shelters or the backyard breeders say, no papers then it's a bully breed mutt. AmStaffs, Staffordshire Bull Terriers are different breeds with different physical markers (more pronounced in the much smaller Staffy), different drives, etc than a real APBT. --- "If you want to move fast, practice slowly...if you want to move like lightning, practice in stillness." ...
