Yeah, but I'm talking about jewel stores.

People are saying it wouldn't have been easier because jewel stores have more security than these would have had. I'm saying that's not really true at all and it's far more likely that there was a ton of security around these crown jewels.

I very very doubt these were stolen to be melted down. Someone wanted these.

I have a friend who works a lot with royal exhibits. It's a well known fact among the workers that churches are really naive with their security.
And usually insurance requires a lot of security in and of itself.
