Yeah. Like every other doomed retailer, they did not do a good enough job migrating their business to the internet nor did they slash enough overhead through store closures. There are 5 stores within 25 minutes of where I live. That should be 1 or 2.

Their shift towards toys/clothes is putting them in a much more competitive and risky market where other places already have a stronger foothold. Used games had a higher turnover rate and a healthier ecosystem. The same person could buy a game for $50, sell it back for $20, then have another customer pay $50 for it again all within the span of a week with newer/better titles. A monopoly in that space worked. Aping Hot Topic and Spencer's while throwing in some Toys R Us is not going to work as long as the internet exists.
