Topic	Do any of you have to take meds everyday?

You should be more worried about the ones not taking any meds or getting treatment. Seriously. What a fucked up thing to say. There's absolutely nothing wrong with taking psychiatric medication. There is something wrong with implying that there is. And we should be worried about all the people who can't afford, or are too scared to seek help. Attitudes like Hummer's post represent are a problem. It makes people less inclined to support universal health coverage. And it makes people with mental problems embarrassed about acknowledging them and seeking help. I'm Canadian, of course I support universal health care. I never said that there's anything wrong with having a psychiatric condition. I'm just not surprised a large group on CE are afflicted with mental health problems.
