Ignoring the south, the north, and the north-east where it's a pretty direct correlation, yes. Kashmir being flipped doesn't explain everything else. It's pretty clear the worst areas are the ones closest to a parity of muslims and hindi, meaning the issue is likely tied to the 2 groups long history of not getting along. This is literally the opposite of how statistics works. If you don't have an actual explanation, don't pick and choose data to fit your narrative. Now explain this off topic but I wonder if the population density map correlates with geography. like if the higher density areas are floodplains and whatnot and the lower ones are rocky/dry There's no rule, but from what i remember, it always depends on the ease of growing veggies and water.
