But like the old saying goes, it aint the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog.
Lions are born fighters. They can sustain some injuries as a member of a coalition. A solitary tiger cannot afford to be seriously wounded.
Don't forget the psychological advantage, perhaps endowned upon the lion by its mane.
Reports state that a lion stays calm in the presence of a strange tiger, while a tiger is antsy near a male lion.
I pick the lion, by a hair. Though I'm not really interested in a fight, I;m a lot more concerned with their preservation.
I mean, in ancient times they were often pitted against each other and the tigers won virtually every time. I don't really trust ancient accounts, as they have not been vigorously verified by modern scientific standards. --- SaltyWet ... Copied to Clipboard! |
