Nebula said "I'm hungry. Give me some of that yarna root."
Gamora said "No. It's not ripe. And I hate you."

Now the hating part was funny, so by a stand-alone line, it was good. But later:

Nebula asks for root again. Drax, while doing something else, casually says "No, it's not ripe." Ehhhh.

Then after Nebula convinces Groot to set her free, she blasts Rocket, and says "hello boys" then takes a bite of the root. Immediately spits it out, says it's not ripe.

So the big issues here are that Nebula is literally anti-comedy. Her purpose in the film is to be a direct representation of the terror of Thanos and to be a foil to Gamora. She's not a funny man. She should not make jokes - complete change of tone.

Two is that it's not really a funny joke, yet they drag it out. If only Gamora said something about it and they left it at that, it would be fine. Gamora is the best, after all. But still.
