And are you stuck doing levequests and dungeons for leveling since the main quests aren't repeatable it seems like? No, you do not need to start over. All Jobs(Paladin,Dragoon,Monk,etc), start at either 30, or 50(SAM,RDM). You do not have to level them back up from 1-30. Note that you aren't actually levelling the Job, but the class. This is a very important distinction to make, because of Arcanist and its two branches.
