Topic	why do Americans clap when their food gets served at restaurants?

At the McDonalds near my work, the self-service machines have table service signs racked up beside them so you can make your order, put in the sign's number and place it at your table. Oh. None of our McDs is like that. Interesting. Yeah. I have a few that do that. A couple other fast food places, too. Not all, though.
