Sounds like the issue is that you're a terrible person and rather than taking time to consider that maybe you're offensive, you get angry and voted for Trump. Worse yet, rather than acknowledging it was your choice, you blame the people you've victimized.
Basically, it's the same type of logic as that "I only beat you because you messed up" excuse that an abuser gives to their partner. Rather than acknowledging their anger problem or that they chose to do so, they blame their victim by saying the victim deserved it and brought it on themselves.
