There are things I've said online that I wouldn't want getting back to me. Some of my comments from the 2000s and early 2010s might come across as casually racist or sexist. And there are a lot of things which aren't seen as acceptable subjects for humor that were standard fare a decade ago. In a way, it's sort of the new McCarthyism.
