Which episode are you referring to? Anyway, It's been stated repeatedly in the reboot that The Doctor is the name he chose for himself. In season 10 Missy flat-out states his name is Doctor Who, but this is almost certainly a lie. The point is, the show is deliberately and consistently ambiguous about his name. --- "a minority is someone who you can tell off the bat they are black/hispanic/colored.
