It's a long story but basically I grew up in a town with lots of really religious conservatives and stuff so no one would have dared asking something like that in HS except for the "bad kids", and those kinds of kids weren't in the advanced classes and were segregated off in a different part of the school. Oh, hmm that's interesting. I would assume my high school was not much different than the average high school honestly.
