Basically, MGM doesn't care about the money, it's about refusing to admit in any capacity that their actions may have allowed this to happen. What do we really want then? Metal detectors and bag-searches at hotels? We do that for county fairs which are generally at the same or a lesser scale than the music festival the victims attended. And given how many were also renting rooms at the hotel and just how massive the scale for the hotel is?
