specifically in the united states, this is just a case of people forgetting to mind their own business and not be complete assholes. i am not overweight but i see no real reason why someone not overweight should even give a shit what someone else is doing with their own body as long as it isn't harming someone else. this is how i feel about drug use as well, let people do what they will with their own body, they own it.

i could understand why people care in countries that actually have universal healthcare because they probably drive up the overall cost of healthcare among the pool, but here in the united states you can't even go with that argument.
