America does not have a good track record for Presidents without prior political experience. America does not have a good track record for Presidents coming from business backgrounds. And right-wing Presidents have had a much worse record when it comes to administrations being mired in controversy within the past fifty or so years. So...why was there even massive support for Trump in the first place? Probably because, anti-leftist sentiment.
