Topic	is it easy to learn how to read japanese?

The same with Zhuyin Fuhao / BoPoMoFo, it has a similar simplicity as Hiragana / Katakana. Both of those would easily skyrocket the popularity of the language overall if Kanji wasn't a main focus and more of a relic in the written language. It would be so hard to read a Japanese book without Kanji though.
