I've found that overthinking things have won me games of mafia before. Of course, that was a game where scum had a confirmable role that scum had never had before, but I digress.

What we *don't* want to do is give into paranoia. You start letting paranoia take over instead of logical thinking, and that's when Mafia doesn't become as fun. I'd rather lose and have fun than win and not have fun. I guess I'm weird that way. (Though I still always play to win)

So let's take off our tinfoil hats and look at everything logically.

Corrik:
Corrik got Mzero lynched. Sure, it's possible he was bussing his buddy. But why at that point? He came into that day READY to ream Mzero before he had time to read much of anything anyone said, let alone react to it and come up with a plan for the day. He'd have to have planned to bus his buddy the night before, figuring Town wouldn't buy it. And Mzero would have reacted smarter to his scumbuddy bussing him, I think. (Of course I guess it's possible Corrik told him to claim 3 watches to get him lynched and then disappear, but then we're veering back into the territory of paranoia). But that seemed more like Mzero doing his own thing tbh. Maybe he faked a scan. Maybe he didn't. That's... actually pretty much Town Corrik in a nutshell. I mean I could see him faking it as scum. But giving us a third scum in a row? That's unnecessary at that point I think. Even to get us to buy him. (And Chris was buying him anyway)

Shad:
We don't have much to go on with Shad. He's a new dad, busy with his kid. I wish him all the luck in the world. He should've been replaced a while back, but this game had a lot of replaces, and nobody left to replace in. He claimed paralyzed Day 2, and claimed Jinjo at the beginning. That's really all we have to go on.

Neither of these really SCREAM scum, yet here we are. By process of elimination, and the fact nobody has scum hammered yet... one of them must be scum. What makes Corrik scum exactly, outside of some paranoia that he's had some master plan all along. ? Pretty much everyone has said they read him as town. Maybe everyone's wrong. But what'd we miss? Pxl wasn't up for a Corrik Lynch. Chris wasn't. I've read him as town, and I know Panthera has too. I mean I know I've let my paranoia get a hold of me a little yesterday. It's mafia. Paranoia is natural.

I know I'll probably regret this if he turns out to be scum, but I honestly don't see it with my tinfoil hat off. If someone can show me logically how Corrik is scum... then by all means. But I don't see it right now. (And I suspected him heavily early in the game)
