I don't know why she thought she need to go for that role in the first place. She looks nothing like the person did in real life, and there's a significant desire among consumers to see trans roles portrayed by trans characters.

If it's not obvious, I think the internet rightfully read her for filth. Later when she tried to double down and compare herself to other actors who did the same, she justifiably got even more shade because we're not keen on those people either (Jeffery Tambor, sis. Where have you been for the past year?)? She completely missed the point, and it was more than a little out of touch. If I don't see another twitter meme circulating comparing her to Thanos collecting the diversity roles I'm going to be a little sad, because some of it is petty, but it's also fun.

As for this 'left eating itself' meme, we been telling you that your material needs updating, and you're just kind of reiterating for us why conservative late night comedy never quite takes off. Comedy writing still takes work and y'all don't try.
