1. Water does not get hotter than 100 celsius

Incredible. All of those statements are 100% factually wrong.

Boiling water temperature is relevant because it's a good benchmark that anyone can use for temperature gauging. Water absolutely gets hotter than 100c. Lots of people have digital thermometers on their stovetops / ovens that tell you what your food is at.
