I agree, but most men have a scarcity mindset in which every potentially interested woman must be pursued fully until a clear sign for 'stop' is given.

I think there is still a grey area of what is a hard stop for each person. I'm sure we've all come across women like this.
I dated a woman that was a bit rough in bed. It took me a while to learn that she wanted me to continue to pursue her through all of her denials and "no's." It was strange and went against my instincts. Even when I thought I was getting to a hard stop for her, it wasn't.
It just makes it confusing for people, all around.
That's why agreeing on a safe word is important for those kinds of partners. ---
