*shrug* Congress is the main issue and reason why this country sucks. At the start of Bush's presidency, before 9/11, Congress was having serious talks of turning Dubya into a lame duck and be in charge of the direction of policies themselves. iirc, I think the deadline was October. We don't have a Legislative branch that's interested in its populace or the direction of this country at all. What has Congress really done since 2006? Yes, they passed the ACA, but that was after Republicans held out and neutered the bill 2 times over before finally agreeing to pass it.
No offense, but the Democrats passed the ACA using reconciliation. It wasn't the GOP that neutered it. It was virtually everyone in Congress being paid tons of money by insurance company lobbyists. ---
