Do words alone warrant physical violence?

Does physically existing warrant verbal abuse/violence?

I don't think so. Unfortunetly it happens, though. Bullying in schools is one such example.

It is likely that most of us have participated in some form of bullying, at least once in our life. Whether we admit it or not, that is another thing.

True. That said, this acknowledges that verbal assault and/or fighting words is a thing and that words alone may very well incite physical violence. Whether a physical response is warranted or not is another conversation. My problem with the argument you present is that the people who generally levy it, refuse to recognize the causality of the language presented and, more or less, are presenting an argument that people should just put up with verbal abuse as opposed to saying that people shouldn't verbally abuse one another.
