Bulma fractured the timelines in the first place by inventing the time machine in the original timeline. But the original intended timeline before Bulma managed to split it... But there is no original timeline where Bulma doesn't invent the time machine. The way things were originally going, she had decided that their only hope was to try to get help from Goku.
