Topic	So is Nintendo killing off the 3DS because of Switch?

Why do people think Nintendo should ditch the 3DS other than 'its old'? So they can put all their development resources into the Switch. The Switch had sold about 10% the amount of units as the 3DS. Why would a developer/publisher prioritise a significantly smaller platform? The same can be said for all generations. Why develop on a PS3 (which sold horribly for its first couple years) when they can develop of the majorly successful PS2? That's literally what happened when the PS3 was released.
