| LockeMonster 07/11/18 3:01:13 AM #12: | Zikten posted... that "grandpa" is hank pym the original antman, and in the comics he is one of the founding members of the avengers, along with his wife. in fact his wife is the one who comes up with the name for the group. they were supposed to be in phase 1 and be in the first Avengers movie but it kept getting delayed and he wasn't able to join the team at the time. and then they decided to make him old and use a different antman. he also is the one who built Ultron in the comics. that was another change. the original plan was to have a YOUNG Hank Pym in the MCU. and Scott Lang would not even exist. in the comics he is the same age as most of the avengers and not an old man Yes, we know it's the original Ant-Man. He's also the original Ant-Man in the movie.
