And as if there hasn't been 50 different incarnations of it that preceded DB. I mean just because there's been like a billion adaptations and rip offs inspired by JttW doesn't mean DB also didn't do it. And the series does quickly diverge away from JttW once you get past Kid Goku but that's besides the issue. The special effects are meh at best. They went super overkill on the CGI and a lot of it looks very... not good. The best visually looking parts are the ones with the least amount of CGI.
