Also, it kinda annoys me that they don't do events anymore, when they easily could. They're constantly giving away Pokmon over wi-fi now, so they could easily give you a special key item that unlocks an event in the game, but they don't do it anymore. I feel like they quit doing events because people might have complained they never got to get them. But now, distributing events is easier than ever before, but they don't take advantage of that.

Actually, they stopped doing them because Masuda believes that children would find them too complicated.

I'm not kidding. That's also why the games themselves have become much more linear and hand-held. He's too concerned with losing the attention of children to smartphones, and the games are suffering because of it.
