I just learned that my manager called me into work to replace her because she couldn't or didn't want to show for her shift, and at my previous place of work I would get called in alot because they always needed me, because no else would.

So now I've decided I'm not going to come in when they ask me too ever again, and if they do. I'll just ignore their phone call. But I've heard that employers can fire you for not coming in or staying after your designated shift. So that leads to the my question: Has any employer of yours threatened to terminate you employment for refusing to come in.
