He confirmed that, unless you had a private server, you would always be playing on a server with other people. So you can play "privately" in F76 in the sense that you can play World of Warcraft privately. As for private servers, he described it as a "service", which more than likely means it will be a subscription. In the case of Fallout 3, the series went from a story-based isometric action-RPG to a story-based FPS action-RPG In the case of Fallout 76, the series will go from a story-based FPS action-RPG to a survival-based resource management MMORPG.
