Doing this huge cinematic fight right off the bat doesn't feel like an achievement. No progression, no risk/reward, kinda shows that they couldn't think of anything else and wanted to blast you with end game content.


it's weird, what I liked about it is what you all seemed to hate about it

this isn't a new thing, either. RPGs have done this a handful of times -- I think both of the Lufia games start with you basically having end game equipment in an end game setting and then sending you back to the beginning in terms of progression

I like it because it gives you a taste of what you're going to get early on.


Yeah but on the flip side, it really is probably the most memorable boss fight of the entire game and it's within the first 10 minutes.
