I can't really think of a reason other than being able to have sex more readily than you might be able to when single (and maybe not, depending on how long you've been seeing a person and if their sex drive has gone down in that time).

Like, you can have numerous friends that you care about very much, both male and female to provide companionship and support. These can just be platonic friends, there doesn't need to be anything sexual there.

Then there's family, hobbies, and just general life stuff. When I'm single I really don't feel like my life is missing anything. On the other hand, I can think of a lot of downsides to being involved with someone.
