And Americans spend about as much per head via taxation on govt healthcare as many countries including the UK where it's free. It's just that it's corrupt as fuck and most of it goes to big pharma and insurance companies. In short, the US could easily provide free healthcare to everyone, but it's a morally bankrupt strange place. Actually the biggest expendature is entitlements at just over 50%.
