But it's just weird - I wasn't expecting it to be so sudden, if this really is the great "winding down" for me. It was after having a massive fuckup while playing a romhack of one of the Pokemon Gen III remakes which made me stop playing entirely. Basically, I invested too many hours into one team member, only to realize it had the wrong ability and was effectively worthless. I deleted my save file immediately after seeing that. At first I was just annoyed at how much time I had wasted, but ever since then I've been unable to justify picking any other game up either. It's just this really intense feeling of, what's the point? There are still games I really want to play/finish, more for their stories and concepts than anything.
