| Topic | What do you find interesting about evolution? |
| apolloooo 07/07/18 6:46:10 AM #23: | DuranOfForcena posted... i find it incredibly interesting that, in order to function, all life as we know it depends on the endosymbiotic relationship between eukaryotic cells and mitochondria, and if that symbiosis never formed then complex organisms probably would not have evolved at all. it's especially interesting when you consider that this merging of a mitochondrion and a prokaryote that formed said symbiosis happened exactly once in life's evolutionary record. just makes you think of the astronomical odds of any of us or anything we know even existing. Probably the biggest event in the history of earth. Like how the f it even happened. Everything bigger than a toenail is descendant of that first fusion --- http://i.imgtc.com/iJyp6bF.png http://i.imgtc.com/ZBw36Qh.png Thanks for the peeps that made the pics <3 if i make typos it means i am on phone ...
